BricsCAD Shape – The newest dwg based solid modeler

BricsCAD Shape is the newest “push & pull” 3d modeling software application that is basically a constituent of its leading BricsCAD family, an indigenous DWG competitior to Autodesk AutoCAD.

BricsCAD Shape is free to use and it is compatible with both macOS and Windows. Linux support is in beta testing phase.

BricsCAD Shape performs similar to a conceptual 3d modeling program, and specifically designed to deal with various modeling tasks in different industries especially the AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) industries.

BricsCAD Shape facilitates the users to sculpt their ideas in solids from scratch. It’s provides the power of free-form modeling with complete CAD accuracy.

BricsCAD Shape comprises of an extensive library of 3D components so that the modelers can demonstrate their ideas efficiently. It is possible to import 3D models from any source, or produce 3d models independently.

It is possible to open shape model directly in BricsCAD BIM as well as create your design, whereas collaborating across disciplines with buildingSMART-certified IFC. It is also possible to generate construction drawings quickly and smoothly.

It makes CAD industry accurate solid-based schematic design; it is a solids modeler, not a surface modeler. It is primarily DWG-based and it is possible to carry an AutoCAD file into it devoid of translation or conversion.

The program can generate user-friendly parametric 3d direct-modeling components like doors, windows and materials.

How to model a house with BricsCAD BIM

This CAD video is based on the new features of BricsCAD BIM and these are implemented for creating the model of a fitness building containing lofted roofs.

The source files can be downloaded from http:/www.bricsys.tv/attach/230/2start.z¬ip.

BricsCAD® is the robust CAD software platform that integrates the customary feature set of native dwg through sophisticated 2D tools and intelligent 3D direct modeling on Windows and Linux. BricsCAD BIM is the first BIM system for Linux users, and the first .dwg-based BIM system for Mac users.

Experience the intelligence of 3D direct modeling with sophisticated 2D design through BricsCAD V15

Bricsys, a leading developer of dwg engineering design software, just added a new wing to their BricsCAD brand by introducing BricsCAD V15.

BricsCAD V15 comes with powerful cad platform that combines the astuteness of 3D direct modeling with sophisticated 2D design on Windows, Linux. Support for Mac will be available soon. Now there will be only English version of BricsCAD V15.

The BricsCAD interface contains context-sensitive Quad cursor through which you can produce technical drawings, 3D models, and layouts more accurately and speedily. You can maneuver all the drawings easily with the distinguished ribbon interface and Look From widget included in BricsCAD V15.

BricsCAD facilitates the users for 3D direct modeling and assemblies in indigenous .dwg format. You can arrange components in 3D models with due order, and then make renderings more reasonably through the 600 new Redway materials available with BricsCAD V15.

Bricsys is connected with third-party application developers that facilitate the users to get access over 400 applications running on BricsCAD. The wide-ranging BricsCAD development platform permits you to port AutoCAD®-based applications devoid of fine-turing the source code.

The users can access a free 30 days trialof English version of BricsCAD. Other editions of BricsCAD provides the added solutions for Sheet Metal design, BIM planning, and 3D data exchange.
