How To Fill The Gaps In A Revit Fabrication Model With Route & Fill Tool In Revit 2017

This revit video highlights the new feature of Route and Fill in Revit 2017. With this new feature of Revit 2017, the MEP designers will be able to fill in the gaps in a Revit Fabrication Model for ductwork, pipework and electrical containment.

Route and Fill tool can be used to affix parts amid two open connectors rapidly and conveniently rather than arranging parts sequentially. How to make perfect elevations with Revit

It is recommended not to apply them as they do not support depth cueing and cannot be comprised in view template.
AMBIENT SHADOWS ?
They are very dark in black and white and should be applied with colored views.
COLORS ?
Apply black and white for construction documents. Consistent colors are ideal for demonstrating elevations. In this regard, ambient shadows can be utilized.

How to use the parts tool in Revit to control your model

Parts in Revit facilitate to split specific elements out of the model into individual parts. These parts are then self-reliantly scheduled, tagged, filtered, and exported. Parts are also utilized to plan delivery and installation processes.

Parts are produced from elements with the following layered structures:

• Walls (exclusive of stacked walls and curtain walls)

• Ceilings
• Structural slab foundations 

Parts are based on elements and updated automatically. Parts are reproduced if the primary element from which they are formed is revised. Alterations include inserting or deleting layers, modifying wall type, layer thickness, wall orientation, geometry, materials, or openings.

While removing a part, it will also remove all other parts obtained from the primary element.

To generate parts out of a wall assembly, choose your Wall and then opt for the Create Parts tool. It will then discrete all the components of your wall into Parts.

While transforming your wall into Parts, verify the properties dialog box and ensure that the Show Shape Handles box is turned on to control each individual part.

The features of new Text Editor in Revit 2017
