Nemetschek Launches 7th Biennial International User Contest

The Nemetschek Engineering Group is going to launch the seventh edition of its biennial International User Contest known as Nemetschek Engineering User Contest 2011. The last date of sending projects is 30th November 2010.

All customers from the larger Nemetschek Engineering Group: Nemetschek Allplan, Nemetschek Engineering, Nemetschek Scia, Nemetschek Frilo and Glaser can participate in the contest and show their technical knowledge and professional skills.

The contest categories include :-
Category 1: Buildings
Category 2: Civil Structures
Category 3: Design of Industrial Buildings and Plants
Category 4: Industrialized Planning
Category 5: Special Projects

A professional international jury will evaluate submissions on originality, level of difficulty, technical level, prestige and the application of the used software.

Each winning project in every of the 5 categories and a ‘Special Jury Prize’ will be rewarded 1 500€.

Vertex system launched Vertex BD 16.0 for home designing

Vertex Systems developed advanced building design software known as Vertex BD. The latest Version Vertex BD 16.0.is just launched. The latest release is ideal for architectural and structural layout design especially for wood framed and light gauge steel framed construction.

Vertex BD 16.0 enhance the design process and generates data from one source for architectural layouts, interior and exterior elevations, structural layouts, fabrication drawings, material reports, manufacturing rendered images, and 3D models.

This latest version saves projects hours and minimizes material waste as manufacturing data is transferred directly to automated equipment. Material reports are exported to project management systems.

The latest version contains a library tool that facilitates users to include their own components to the library. The users can also form 2D presentation of a component as a 2D image.

The software comes up with some new features related with roofs. A roof is bound to walls with a dimension restraint, a ceiling can be bound in the direction of a roof and a porch beam can be bound to a roof to pursue the change of the roof pitch, for instance.
