Autodesk recently launched Revit 2019.2, the first update to Revit 2019

The most striking feature of this upgradation is the transition to cloud computing. Cloud Models for Revit is the latest feature that automatically coordinates BIM 360 and files and saved them to your desktop. Thus, one can get rid of uploading files manually for distributing them. 2019.2 also allows the users to preserve Revit models in the cloud devoid of worksharing them. Now, the individual users will be able to accumulate their models on BIM 360.

Simultaneously, Autodesk has introduced a preview of its Cloud Model Upgrade, so that BIM 360 project admins get the ability to automatically update cloud-stored files to the most updated version of Revit. The upgrade signifies that admins can modify the file formats with a single click of mouse without requiring to go into the files and manually alter them. The current preview alters projects from Revit 2018.3 to Revit 2019 format.

With Site Collaboration the users can connect topography from Civil 3D into Revit as well as arrange building pads and subregions on complex surfaces.

The update also facilitates superior automation of the design-to-fabrication process for concrete. Extended CAM Export facilitates the users to connect cast-in-place/precast concrete projects to automatic fabrication processes, and the Custom Fabric Sheet (CFS) feature facilitates the users to automatically transform reinforcements into custom fabric sheets to make the design-to-fabrication process automatic. There exist more families of hollow concrete slabs, with 13 supplementary types of precast hollow-core slabs.

Besides, Revit 2019.2 comes up with two smaller enhancements directly from the user ideas page—the inclusion of a zoom function in schedule views, and the elimination of the “Element is too small on screen” warning. The first feature aids in the users to view more intimately at their schedules rather straining their eyes, whereas the second facilitates them to shift the objects very short distances devoid of any intrusion from the program.
