V-Ray 3.6 for Revit is launched to improve your rendering quality

V-Ray 3.6 for Revit is launched by adding some avant-garde features to Revit along with rapid hybrid GPU + CPU rendering, photorealistic grass and fur, and rapid scene export. With a simplified UI, it becomes easier to generate stunning renders retaining your workflow as it is.

A webinar will be arranged on February 27 to demonstrate the new features of V-Ray 3.6 for Revit’s.
To register your seat online, click on the following link www.chaosgroup.com/vray
Given below, some exclusive features of V-Ray 3.6 for Revit:
RAPID SCENE EXPORT: Now render any complicated scenes four time faster with new optimizations and smart caching, translation.
NEW ASSET BROWSER: Demonstrates all materials and proxy objects, and facilitates you to choose and edit various materials.
STREAMLINED UI: Updated and simplified interface for a more intuitive, easy to use workflow.
V-RAY PROXIES: ArchVision RPC objects are employed as stand-ins for V-Ray proxy objects in your Revit scene to start rendering of high-resolution models of trees, cars, people and other entourage.
V-RAY GRASS & FUR: Render realistic grass and fur.
HYBRID RENDERING: V-Ray GPU operating on NVIDIA CUDA can now take complete benefits of all existing hardware along with GPUs and CPUs.
CLOUD RENDERING EARLY ACCESS PROGRAM: Chaos Group's consistent cloud rendering service can now be accessible in V-Ray for Revit. To apply it, just click the cloud rendering button in V-Ray for Revit, or register at chaosgroup.com/cloud.

Tech Soft 3D introduced HOOPS Communicator 2018 Toolkit for BIM & CAD professionals

Tech Soft 3D, leading solution provider for the engineering software industry, just introduced HOOPS Communicator 2018 software development toolkit (SDK). It is a robust toolkit for generating advanced web-based engineering applications.

HOOPS Communicator is now compatible with AutoCAD DWG files and point clouds to facilitate creating architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) or building information modeling (BIM) applications.

Besides, supporting IFC, an interoperable file format for construction is also supported. These tools arrange a strong environment for visualization, query and navigation of construction models.
With HOOPS Communicator 2018, it is possible to make advanced workflows like product lifecycle management (PLM) and product configurators with significant enhancements like the ability to aggregate models. Assemblies can be easily divided into their constituent parts which can be integrated when requested or instantly substituted for several adjustments.

HOOPS Communicator 2018 embraces and simplifies major complications associated with delivering advanced graphics. There are various new features like x-ray rendering mode and ability to employ materials to geometry on the client for superior visual fidelity.

How To Produce Solar/Shadow Studies With Revit

Prior to start a solar study, organize a view to show light and shadows. Apply the following useful tips :-
• Generate a 3D view.

To show light and shadows efficiently on a project, apply 3D views of the building model. Show standard plan views like floor plans and ceiling plans, abstain from demonstrating various elements in 3D, therefore, there will be no shadows to be casted from these elements.

The sun path and shadows can be accessed in all 3D views devoid of those applying the Wireframe or Consistent Colors visual style. In 2D views, the sun path can be accessed in floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, and sections.

Note: The sun path’s on-screen controls can’t be edited in perspective, walkthrough, or rendered 3D views.

• Rotate a view to True North to perfectly demonstrate the position of the sun concerning the project through solar study.
• While creating a lighting solar study, state the location of the sun corresponding to the view.
