A position is vacant for Architectural Job Captain with a focus on Revit

MONTALBA ARCHITECTS, INC., a design-focused and high-service architectural practice located in Santa Monica, California, is requiring a motivated architectural job captain with a focus on Revit based project.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Accomplishment of BArch or MArch • At least 3-5 years of related work experience in an Architectural office

• Methodical, accurate and attentive to detail

• Outstanding oral, written, and graphic communication skills

• Self-directed and ability to perform in a collaborative team environment

• Adaptable and well-rounded to adjust shifting schedules, project demands, and deadlines

• Construction Documents and Construction Administration phase experience is necessary

• Detail oriented and self-motivated, with a working knowledge of construction means and methods

• Build up and sustain BIM standards, templates, and libraries across projects
• Guide in BIM execution and support staff in training in progress
• In-house training and create instruction materials
• Produce custom families as necessary, expertise with Dynamo or flexible family making will be an added advantage
• Project management experience is desired
• Knowledge in Autocad and Sketchup
• Employ materials and technical details
• Generate high-quality construction documents
• Arrange architectural quality control for drawing sets

PRIMARY Liabilities: A candidate should have expertize in the Revit platform and construction document oversight for large, complex projects.

The primary responsibilities should be as follow:

• Formn detailed Revit models for design and construction documents
• Create and sustain BIM standards, templates, and libraries across projects
• Lead in BIM execution and support staff in current training

• In-house training and produce instruction materials
• Make custom families as necessary, sound experience with Dynamo or flexible family creation is a major plus
• Employ materials and technical details
• Produce high-quality construction documents
• Orchestrate internal teams on complex projects
• Permitting and agency coordination as needed
• Provide architectural quality control for drawing sets
