SimLab 3D PDF Exporter Revit plug-in includes a sharing feature to Revit application that facilitates the users to distribute their designs in 3D PDF (Portable Document Format) technology.
The format is indigenously supported and collaboratively visualized with the free Acrobat Reader version.
The plugin comes with sample templates which provide the methods for exporting 3D PDF files. There is a Template Designeris to facilitate the users to generate supplementary templates easily. This template can be applied to export 3D PDF files in future.
SimLab 3D PDF exporter is compatible with Revit 2017 (64-bit), Revit 2016(64-bit), Revit 2015(64-bit), Revit 2014 and Revit 2013.
Given below, step-by-step guidances to apply the plug-in :-
At first download the plugin from internet and set up it in your computer. Once the procedure is finished, the plugin automatically registers itself in Revit.
Run Revit application and find that the plugin had included its new toolbar on the add-ins tab that will be visible with the ribbon of Revit’s main interface.
Click the Default 3D view button in the view tab so that the plugin can be activated Obtain a trial or professional license, so that the plugin can start working If one already contains a license, select the register button available in the plug-in toolbar to register it

Select PDF setting button prior to export pdf files, it unfolds a dialog box inquiring you to select which template should be applied. Other PDF settings can also be arranged.
N.B. – Select from the existing templates or generate new templates or edit current ones by applying SimLab Designer prior to export 3D PDF files.
In order to export 3D PDF files, press the export file button in the toolbar plugin, then the scene manager dialog box shows up containing a list of scenes, where the scenes can be selected to be comprised in the 3D PDF file which is exportable. Once done, select OK.
The export dialog box opens that facilitates you to select the name & location of the new 3D PDF file and then click save.
