Sydney, Australia: Intercad Pty Ltd, one of the leading suppliers of 3D solid modeling products and services across Australia and New Zealand, has acquired fellow 3D CAD specialist Solidtec Solutions. As per the deal, Solidtec personnel will now join Intercad to enhance the level of expertise at the company. In the last three years, Intercad has emerged as a full-service mechanical computer-aided engineering solutions provider.
Max Piper, chief executive officer, Intercad Pty Ltd plans to merge the two businesses to support a larger range of services. He believes that this merger of operations will help to enhance the technical support, training programs and industry and business knowledge of Intercad and aid to deliver competitive advantages to the customers. This acquisition will help Solidtec customers to access the full portfolio of products that have been introduced to Intercad customers in the past 12 months.
It is expected that the integration of Solidtec with Intercad will offer a focus on customer satisfaction and ensure that Australian and New Zealand manufacturers, designers and engineers can attain the best available tools, training and support to increase productivity and develop a global client base.
Intercad is also working on developing partnerships with organizations like IC3D which would strengthen their ability to render customers comprehensive and focused solutions. These solutions will not only meet their exact requirements but also maximize their investment in SolidWorks, including products for steel fabrication and simple language translation.
